Hour or Two

Tell us about Stevenage!

We are always keen to expand our exhibitions and knowledge about Stevenage's past. If you have found out something interesting about Stevenage's history - be it the history of an old building, about important people who visited here, historic events - anything you know about that may be of relevance to the museum is great.

What's involved?

If you think you have found something of historical worth then we would love for you to write us a small piece with all of the information you have, and any sources you may have used. We may then ask you to write more in form of a blog post for our website, or we may include your information in exhibits or do further research ourselves.

Why get involved?

We always want to find out more about the history of our town, and it's not always possible for us to spend long periods researching - that's why if you know something you haven't seen us feature in our museum, you could be of great help to us! We like to keep our exhibits fresh and engaging to attract people, and you can help us do that.

How to get involved?

  • Accept the challenge
  • Write us a piece about what information you know, including any sources, photographs, or objects that you used
  • Send it in to us for review
  • We may then ask you to write a blog post for the public about what you've found, or use it in future exhibits!
